23-Tuesday

Whoa I am almost caught up to the current date! This is getting exciting!

Today was the Keri Margolis Workshop which was interesting. She was very intense which was what I expected. I didn't expect her to be a very tall, lean, olive-skinned woman; with exceptionally curly ebony hair tightly pulled to the top of her head in ponytail under which she has very prominent brows  which are accented by large, almost birdlike dark brown eyes.  Her method focuses deeply on breathing, and how you control your breath. It also focuses on using your muscles to become more expressive with your movements so that you can utilize your whole body instead of from the shoulders up. I learned more about an actors process and I think a lot of the kids in my class learned a lot; I did not have an epiphany of enlightenment so well I guess I got to expel some carbon dioxide from my body while thinking about it.

In Intro to theater, we got an almost lecture because an underage theater party was busted and people got tickets of around $239;  and their court hearing is during their class with Janet. Thankfully everyone in our class didn't go or if they did they did nothing illegal. The cool kids, went to the mock-tail party where we had fun while still staying inside the guidelines of the law!

Today was also my training in the FAC, so I got to learn how to hang a light, and coil a sound cable. We also learned how to do a set up in the lobby including setting up tables and some heavy display boards. Then the big fun of the night and none of you will believe me because I dislike heights (a whole lot) but I went up to the cat-walk which is mere three stories up a spiral staircase. Then after I got down  we had yet another training session where I went up to the weight floor which a wonderful 6 stories away by spiral stair case. And to go all the way up we got to wear a harness so that was a whole heap of fun I haven't the foggiest how I got up or down I know it was slow and not very enjoyable possibly even slightly nauseating.

This was definitely my adventure for the day and for tomorow. And this is the story I leave you with so until tomorow...
