The costumer, Jeff, had a lot of great renderings of the costumes for each character, his concept is to make it similar to a black and white film without the costumes be simply black and white. His color palate will include some dark purples, and blues and grays; but the physical palate he had was made of paint chip samples. Jeff and a few costuming students were joking that the people in walmart, home depot and menards must think they are crazy for taking so many differant shades of paint chips and taking so many. The make-up and hair designer, Bryce had a few preliminary sketches, but the majority of the work would be invested in ventilating (weaving) a wig and few mustaches. The scenic designer was not present but his assistant, Jessie showed us the ground plans, and the set is mostly constructed, however it needs to be painted. Our lighting designer, Dave, was building immunity to diseases (he was at home sick) but Jim the master electrician explained the concepts and showed us in the lighting lab, a miniature theater space what the looks would end up...looking like. Apparently he was having some difficulties with the design because he wants a very natural/realistic look with a few working lights on stage but the director, David, wants the lights to be humorous so we will see how that goes...
The rest of the day was spent a many others are...studying, but I did lose my keys, and I had a small panic attack until I returned to the Library where thankfully someone had turned into the front desk so I got them back without a hassle. ( I am not sure if that was an adventure or misfortune?)
So...
~Another Day and Adventure Awaits~
